Description: NOTE FROM TED: TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf Working 80 to 100 hours a week for 7 years in healthcare investment banking finally caught up to Kavi Misri, founder and CEO of Rose. Like many, he found himself burned out, depressed, and in need of help. Looking for answers, Kavi was struck by how difficult it was for him to get basic mental health care. Knowing there had to be a better way, he founded Rose. Using natural language processing and deep learning to predict depression and mood disorder symptoms, Kavi and his team have created a high-tech approach to assessing and predicting a patient’s mental health faster. Kavi Misri is the Founder and CEO of Rose Health, a digital mental health platform that leverages deep tech for the early detection of depression and mood disorders. Prior to establishing Rose, Kavi spent almost a decade in Healthcare Investments as a Healthcare M&A Investment Banker for SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and in an operational role at Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York State where he worked on building the health system’s first narrow network health insurance company, CareConnect. Kavi is a proud Rotarian and was once the youngest President of a Rotary Club in its 115-year history where he spearheaded club initiatives around combatting mental health stigma and substance abuse challenges. Kavi graduated from Fordham University with a BS in Finance and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Johns Hopkins University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx
